Donate instead of destroy

Dr. Beckmann Group strengthens its sustainability commitment

Egelsbach, 18 December 2025 – The Dr. Beckmann Group is further expanding its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Since this year, the company has been working with the non-profit organisation innatura gGmbH in Germany and with the US-based non-profit partner GiveNKind. The goal of these collaborations is to donate products that are no longer sellable but remain fully functional to social institutions and families in need.

In manufacturing companies, the question regularly arises of how to handle goods that, for example, cannot be sold due to incorrect labels or visual deviations. Although these products are safe and fully usable, they are often disposed of. With its new partnerships, the Dr. Beckmann Group is deliberately taking a different path: donate instead of destroy.

In this way, the company combines ecological responsibility with social engagement and ensures that valuable resources are not unnecessarily lost but reach those who need them most.

Sustainable action means taking responsibility along the entire value chain – including in cases where products can no longer be sold for various reasons. By collaborating with organisations such as innatura and GiveNKind, we are making a contribution that benefits both the environment and people,” says Heike Harling, Senior Sustainability Manager at the Dr. Beckmann Group.

Positive feedback is also coming from the United States: “GiveNKind is an outstanding partner for us when it comes to putting non-sellable but fully functional products to good use. We are proud to know that our items can directly support people in challenging life situations while conserving resources,” explains Arden Howell, Customer Business Director at Delta Carbona, the US subsidiary of the Dr. Beckmann Group.

With these new collaborations, the Dr. Beckmann Group is sending a clear signal in favour of value preservation, resource conservation, and social responsibility – core elements of the corporate values that have shaped the family-owned company’s actions for four generations.
