Egelsbach/Germany, June 16, 2026 – With the relaunch of the Dr. Beckmann Power Carpet Stain Remover, the company is setting new standards in recyclability and consistently placing the further development of packaging at the forefront. For 40 years, Dr. Beckmann has been recognized worldwide for its high level of expertise in stain removal and is also one of the leading brands in carpet cleaning.

“Our ambition is to consistently further develop our established top sellers. The new Power Carpet Stain Remover combines improved cleaning performance with fully recyclable packaging, meeting the expectations of modern consumers,” says Barbara Benato-Heinz, Global Senior Brand Manager of the Dr. Beckmann Group.

Rethinking Sustainable Packaging
With this new development, Dr. Beckmann consistently relies on a mono-material solution: both the bottle and the brush head are made of fully recyclable material, enabling clear separation within the recycling stream. A key lever of this advancement is the newly designed brush head: it is made of polyethylene and, for the first time, combines bristles and sponge elements in a more recyclable mono-material structure.

“The new mono-material structure was technically challenging: the sponge must absorb the cleaning liquid and release it precisely onto the textile, while the bristles must simultaneously enable thorough cleaning. The result is a solution that is unique on the market,” explains Senior Packaging Engineer Monika Korbmann, who led the development of the brush head over a period of two years.

From the selection of suitable materials and extensive testing to implementation in production, every step was specifically geared towards full recyclability. The Power Carpet Stain Remover already meets the future requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which stipulates a recyclability rate of at least 70 percent by 2030. In addition, revising the brush head and bottle has reduced the carbon footprint by approximately 11.5 percent compared to the previous version.

Greater Effectiveness Down to the Fiber
With the relaunch, Dr. Beckmann has improved not only the packaging but also the cleaning performance of the Carpet Stain Remover. The dual-bristle technology combines bristles of different heights, allowing deep penetration into carpet fibers for thorough cleaning. Thanks to the enlarged bristle surface, stain removal is 20 percent more effective.
The ergonomically redesigned bottle shape fits comfortably in the hand and enables controlled application. A new dosing and sealing system supports precise dosage and further simplifies handling.
The new Dr. Beckmann Power Carpet Stain Remover will be available in Germany from August 2026 as a universal version as well as a variant for pet owners in drugstores, supermarkets, and online. Additional countries will follow.
